A CAW Cell Delhi complaint can move faster than many husbands and families realise.
Look at this Delhi High Court order dated 10 June 2026 in Soumya Verma v. State (NCT of Delhi).
The case concerned FIR No. 0010/2026, registered at P.S. CAW Cell, Nanakpura.
The FIR invoked Sections 498A/406/34 IPC along with Sections 85/316(2)/3(5) BNS.
The husband Shubham Verma and his family members were implicated in the FIR.
The matrimonial relationship had already broken down and the parties were living separately.
Then the situation changed.
The matrimonial dispute was amicably resolved.
The wife and husband appeared before the Delhi High Court through video conference, their identities were confirmed by the Investigating Officer, and the wife stated her position before the Court.
The Court ultimately held that, considering the settlement of the matrimonial dispute, no fruitful purpose would be served by continuing the proceedings.
The FIR and the proceedings arising from it were therefore quashed.
Now read this carefully if you are dealing with CAW CELL DELHI.
Don't assume that once a complaint becomes an FIR, everything is permanently lost.
But don't make the opposite mistake either:
“Settlement ho jayega, abhi kuch karne ki zarurat nahi.”
That can also put you in a difficult position.
